The department of social welfare-source that. All the needy children in the country need attention and concern from government NGOs and individuals, since there are ten thousand needy children in Ghana. Who are strangling to meet their daily bread, as well as cloth and shatter? The situation is equally worse in northern Ghana, And in West Africa sub region

In Ghana the problems of needing children, is lack of concern. In the community, family, these children don’t get any contribution. From the family or the community, they often take the situation of the children for bad lack. Several souses of reason are contributed in their problems some of these reason tend Stigmatize to every needy child in Ghana, So the final decision. These children are taking is to do away. From the community and their families as well due to neglect,

In summary, of needing children with disability are not recognized as a normal human being. Let along to even mention their needs for them needs like given. Those skills training which will enable them be self-employment. And build their capacities to the High level so that they can also contributed to the development to their community

However, to help minimize the incidence of the perpetual ignorance of the problems of needy children action on needy children and development of rural areas a group of people had being together. The social welfare Ghana (SWG) believes that orphan persons are entitled to measures which are designed to enable them become as self esteemed as possible! By this strategy, the orphan persons should be given the needed employable skills which will not only help integrate them fully into their normal societies but it will also offer them the tremendous opportunities to contribute through their services to the total development of the communities.

After the out-dooring of the voluntary humanitarian issue pong tamale Nanton District of the Northern Ghana, which was observed in 2003 to promote equal opportunities for needy children and royal area especially orphan girls and to eliminate discrimination against them. It was on the basis of this that the leadership of voluntary humanitarian issue decided that a Community Based Resource Centre be established to offer capacity building to the cross needing children fraternity in our communities and the Country at large. Also, the citing of the Resource centre would have further enabled our noble organization to grow from strength to strength since; the centre would have increased information to the public about the problems and potentials of voluntary humanitarian issue.

It will further sharpen the skills of needy children who are received nominal training before this opportunity. More so, the establishment will attract the attention of donors, beneficiaries and government.

Suffice it to say that, the Resource Centre concept has caught on well with the people in the pong tamale-Nanton District of Northern Ghana and beyond, the issues left to be concluded include the construction of permanent Community Based Resource Centre building where voluntary humanitarian issue will be able to acquire and store all materials and logistics for training etc, without incurring monthly rental bills as the situation stands now.

Social

As noted the northern region one of the poorest in Ghana it is characterized by high illiteracy many children out of school high school drop-out rate low income food security low health status poor housing, lack of good drinking water and poor infrastructure and social service statistics show that the northern of Ghana experiences the lowest rate of school enrolment and of children out of school girl are majority.

Government’s free compulsory universal basic education (FCUBE) has made the of girls a priority but growing poverty is impeding government efforts at realizing this objectives. As a result there are huge number of who are illiteracy and without access to education or skills training who be come particularly vulnerable to kayayo work as mentioned above this is situation where girls migrate to the cities in the south of Ghana to work as head ported carrying loads for people in the market. The majority of girls end up sleeping on pavement, in front of stores on verandas and make shift structures. The combined effect of the hard work they do the income they earn poor diet and where they sleep poses a risk to their health the girls are sometimes robber as well as being exposed to prostitution sexually transmitted disease and unwanted pregnancies many of the girls get stranded and are unable to return home for various reason some are simply not able to raise funds for the return trip and others are unwilling to return home and face the embarrassment of going back empty handed.

Further as a result of girls not receiving education the majority are not aware of their basic right this leans to a negative cycle, as when the girl go on later to have children of their own they are informed about their parental responsibilities as well as the right of their children

Culture

Women the northern region are usually seen as inferior to men and there are role is often seen chiefly as being responsible for running the household and having children, many women have little or no control over issues such as household’s income is spent, what education their children receive and even their own health care, over the years these practice have therefore help the women to feel inferior to men incapable of operating at the same level as men in society.

There are also certain customs, traditions and believes in place which hinder development of girls in the northern region, such as child marriage, where young girl are married to older man. In many cases if such a girl is in school she is withdrawn for school when the man decides she is read for marriage, so does not complete formal education.

Another common cultural practice is child fostering where girls in particular are put under the care of their aunts usually these girls either drop out of school or finish only the basic level but do not proceed to a high level. Traditionally this was done to strengthen family bonds, but unfortunately the situation has change today urbanization and modernization mean more fortunate relatives are lees willing to take I of poorer relations, so these girls are more likely accepted by relatives, who are more traditional and view them as an extra pair of hard to supplement their insufficient livelihood add in about bride price and aunts encouraging girl to do kayaye

POLITICAL AND ECONOMICS,

Ghana is enjoying relatively long period of political stability, with the current government committee to creating job opportunity for youth and working with civil society to this aim. In the metropolis 1,500 will be benefiting from a 2,2-billion youth in employment programmed which seeks to address high level of employment in the region so the political environment is conductive for collaboration between government and donors, NGOs and other stakeholders

Over the past ten years, Ghana has experience slow economic growth, with high inflation rates. Depreciation of the local currency and serious public debt, despite this Ghana is seen international to be slowly but steadily improving economically and is attracting increasing level of foreign investment.

Nonetheless, northern Ghana, comprising the northern region upper west region continues to lag far behind the rest of the country in terms of development. In the northern region
